I am going to be blunt, since this is a city where blunt is normal and I have stopped apologising for it. My one requirement is that you are staying. Not probably. Not for the foreseeable. Staying, in the sense that your life is arranged here and there is no plan under which it is not.
Forty five, Neukölln, fourteen years in and eleven of them here. Everything else about me is flexible. I have no strong feelings about age, experience, nationality, whether you go to things, or almost anything else people put in these.
The reason is arithmetic. A rope partnership takes about two years to become the thing worth having. Two evenings a week, a shared way of doing it, the point where neither of you has to explain anything. Three times I have got to the edge of that and then somebody's contract ended.
What I would like now is to spend a boring decade with somebody. That is the entire ambition and I am aware it is not a thrilling thing to advertise.
Not looking for anybody in the middle of deciding whether to stay in Europe. Not looking for something intense over a short window, which I have done and which leaves a mark. And not looking to do long distance afterwards, since I have tried it twice and both times it was a slow way of ending something that had already ended.
