I would like to state my main requirement early. At some point in the evening we are going to eat something at a table, probably badly cooked by me, and talk about our respective days like two people in an ordinary relationship. If that sounds like a strange thing to specify, you have not spent much time on this board.
Thirty one, Queens, six years in. I have had four things fail in the last two years for what I now believe is the same reason: nobody was ever off duty. Everything was scenes and arrangements and negotiations, all of it perfectly well conducted, and none of it contained a single evening where two people just watched something and fell asleep.
The rope is important to me and it is roughly ninety minutes of a week. The rest is what I am actually here for and I have decided to say so rather than smuggle it in around month three.
So: one person. A standing evening. Dinner. Some rope. A conversation about whether the landlord is ever going to fix the buzzer. Repeat for several years.
Not looking for anything that only exists as arranged sessions. Not looking for somebody who wants to keep the ordinary part of their life entirely separate from this, which is a perfectly reasonable way to live and is the opposite of what I want. And not looking for a partner who does not want to be seen with me in daylight.
