My rota comes out ten days in advance and it never looks like the last one. So when somebody asks whether I am free three weeks on Thursday, the honest answer is that I have no idea and will not have one for a fortnight, and I have watched that answer end several conversations.
Twenty seven, Neukölln, studying part time and working the rest, three years into this and moving between both ends of it. What I have worked out is that the fix is not a fixed evening, which I cannot promise, but a fixed amount. Twice a fortnight, whenever those two slots fall, agreed ten days out and then honoured absolutely. That has worked once, for eight months, and it worked well.
So I am after somebody whose own week is flexible, or who is willing to run on that basis, and who will not treat a Tuesday one week and a Sunday the next as chaotic.
I am extremely reliable once something is agreed. I have never cancelled anything in three years, which given the above I consider an achievement.
Not looking for anybody who needs the same evening every week, because I cannot supply it. Not looking for somebody who will suggest I get a different job, which is the plan and it takes another two years. And not looking for anything spontaneous, since spontaneity is the one thing my life has none of.
