Clover Nipple Clamps

I’ve heard that clover nipple clamps were originally used for sewing, and you can find them in sewing stores for less than you’d pay elsewhere. So my question is this: Does anyone know what people in sewing stores call them? People in sewing stores around here get kinda befuddled if you ask them about nipple clamps…:? Thanks!
