Assistance Needed for a Motor

Hello everyone, and please excuse me since this is my first time posting here. I’ve recently joined the community after spending a lot of time lurking.

Here’s why I’m writing: I have “inherited” a motor/mechanism that previously belonged in a Louisiana Love Lounger. My issue is as follows: I don’t currently possess, and can’t easily obtain, the remote control needed to operate it. I was hoping someone could offer some guidance on how to bypass this limitation.

The unit comprises the main mechanism/thrusting component with two wires—a red one and a black one—extending from it down to the battery pack. That pack has its own power switch, and inside you can see the wires that deliver energy from six or eight Size C batteries. There’s also a small circuit board within there too. Now, while I’m certainly no engineer by any definition, surely there must be a method to circumvent the need for the remote.

I really hope someone can assist because I’ve got a nice session planned for Thursday using this device. Best regards
