Spring Clips and Escape Options

I’m new to bondage and have leather wrist cuffs that buckle, linked together by a chain with a spring clip. I can’t get out of the cuffs themselves, but the issue is the spring clips; all it takes is reaching down to push them open.

As a newcomer to this world, I don’t know what other options or techniques exist. Could someone offer some advice? Thanks!
