A lovely little expression

Whenever I spot the words ‘…make sure you can’t…’ in a self-bondage thread, it always sends a pleasant flutter through my stomach. Variations such as ‘stop you’ or ‘so you can’t’ appear often too. Typically, this phrase is followed by details like ‘reach the keys’ or ‘untie the knot’. To me, this captures the very heart of self-bondage. The anticipation builds during planning and preparation; there’s a thrill in sealing off an escape route, knowing that once you’re locked up, you’d likely grab it if given the chance.
