Quieting Down the Clicks of My New High Tops

Hello everyone. I just bought my first pair of heels. Walking in them is still a bit awkward—I don’t want to sound like an old trucker—but it’s getting better slowly. Part of the issue is that nearly all the floors in my apartment are wood. When I’m walking around, it feels like the entire building can hear me! Also, since my husband is away for a while, my neighbor knows someone else lives here now. It seems clear she distinguishes between her own heel clicks and mine (she wears heels to work almost daily on similar flooring).

Living in the South means I could easily get a suppressor for my guns if needed. But where’s the technology to silence heel noise?:rofl: After checking Google, it looks like duct tape might be the best solution right now. Another option is carpeting the whole apartment (which isn’t happening anytime soon). Does anyone have other ideas or similar experiences?

Some wedge heels are just as high as spiked ones and usually tend to be quieter than traditional heels.
