How did you find the?

I know it is extremely hard to remember for most of you but for those of you who still remember, how did you find the community? And what was your first reaction to the site? I personally first found it on C: on my mothers computer sometime during 2003. (This is naturally not quite true because I was the one who had made it in the first place but it sounds better. Storing it there could have been really dangerous if she had not been totally computer illiterate.) It spent a lot of time there before going online and even longer until becoming something useful.
