A small concept using a desk near a wall

My apologies, though if an admin could shift it over, I’d really appreciate it Mod edit: A wave of the magic whip…:whip: (J) Last night, I was looking for ways to create a basic scenario that requires a release method. Despite all the community resources available, I couldn’t quite nail down an ideal setup or figure out how best to use my rope. This sparked this idea which I want to share. ILLUSTRATION: (forgive my terrible paint skills) Image ITEMS:

• 3m rope (guyline wire should do the trick)
• Collar (any type of dog collar should work, as long as it has a d-ring)
• Fan, or sturdy post of some sort
• Padlock (to lock on the collar)
• Wrist Cuffs (wouldn’t recommend handcuffs)
• Any other optional toys (i.e. butt plugs, nipple clamps other bondage gear) RELEASE METHOD:
• If you have a laptop, you can use its disc tray to elevate the key(s) using tools in the Software section of the forum
• Otherwise, think what is best for yourself, though have scissors, or a safe to use knife as a backup. THE PLAN:
• The idea behind this scenario is making ideal use of the desk as a barrier, preventing you from untying the rope which will be tied to the fan as the gap between the wall and desk will be too small for you reach through.
• Firstly, setup the rope by stringing it through the d-ring, then string both ends behind the desk. Get the length right for you, then tie it to your base securely
• Next, check your release method works. Make sure the key(s) can reach your hands while cuffed behind you. Set it up to last how ever long you wish to go for.
• Insert any extras you may like to use.
• Put on the collar, if it’s like mine, then at least have it on the second hole for the padlock. This might be hard to do blind at first.
• Attach your wrist cuffs behind you and wait it out:D

Only concern is the collar, though that's only really an issue if you're not already on the ground and there's a way for it to snag such that it can't reach the ground if/when you fall. Collars are hot. Leather hangman's nooses are not. (If anyone's considering an issue where those come into play, chest harnesses are a lot safer - if you fall, you get a nasty jolt to the ribcage, but your ribs can take a lot more punishment than your neck can - Tacit's star harness ( is relatively light on rope and is pretty easy to adapt to self-tying). Other than that, it sounds like fun.

So....If I read this right... The rope is tied to the fan, or any hard fixed object, runs behind the desk, through the collar, back behind the desk and back to the fan... So, there is no knot to undo on the collar... Clever, and the collar is locked on... so, even with free hands, there is no knot to untie... I like it, and the idea can be modified for use in other collar teather(SP?) systems... You could also tie one end up high on one side of the room and the other end to the other side... Even with a lot of slack so you can move to anywhere in the room, you are still a prisioner in that room... And of you trip and fall, you still fall, and not hang somewhere...
