Smooth & Silky Legs?

I’ve been shaving my legs at the end of summer for about five or six years now. The issue is that I’m not sure how to eliminate the bumps left behind by all that thick male hair? Could anyone suggest a lotion (spray, or something else) I can apply after shaving so my legs look nice and smooth? I really like how my legs appear with stockings on, but I dislike seeing those spots through the nylon! That’s why for most of the year I typically wear two to four pairs of stockings. They have spray-on tanning lotions available now as well. However, I keep hearing that these aren’t entirely safe?
