Newcomer Seeking Guidance in Self Bondage

Greetings all! Well, I’ll dive straight in! As mentioned above, I’m new to the SM and self bondage scene, so let me introduce myself along with my interests before getting into the details:P I work as a senior executive at a large corporation. Being 21 years old (and heterosexual), I don’t have much time for enjoyment or pleasure activities. However, the world of self bondage and SM has caught my attention greatly, and I’ve finally found some free time to put it to good use… to “explore”. I always had a quiet interest in being tied up—or tying myself up—but never quite made the jump into self bondage. In the past, I experimented with handcuffs and other light restraints…

Here’s the twist: I’ve always been dominant, not submissive:oops:. My interest is sparked by self bondage because my desire to play with others is fading as we age, so I feel it’s time for a period of SELF exploration. I’ve done extensive research on this site and elsewhere (thanks!) regarding which restraints can be used and the various positions and predicaments available. Most importantly, I focused heavily on safety, controlling my environment, and selecting several release methods.

What interests me most is finding a confidant since I’m somewhat private about this topic given that I am quite new to it. Someone I can run my “scenes” by and have my safety precautions double-checked would be ideal. Also, someone who can help discover new predicaments or lend their experience so to speak.

As mentioned before… this world entices me, and I want to enter with good support, assured safety, and ensured pleasure. With that said, I’d feel most comfortable confiding in a female because I’m unsure if I’d be at ease speaking openly about such matters to another male—though perhaps in the future.
