I went for a short walk on Saturday wearing my black Lipsy dress, stockings, bra, thong, heels, and coat. Usually I can’t go much further than a few meters before I back out and head home, but this time I had the car key card with me. It has an emergency pull-out key in case of a flat battery so you can unlock the door manually. With my car comes a locking mechanism; if I press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds, it locks the vehicle and rolls up all the windows, which is perfect. So, I pulled into a layby, removed the emergency metal key from the card, dropped it near the no litter sign, reversed the car back to the end of the bay, opened the window slightly, turned off the engine, and got out holding my keycard. I put on my coat, then before I could hesitate, held down the lock button while tossing the card into the passenger seat as the window slowly closed. My heart was pounding hard because I knew I had to walk back to that litter post before even thinking about getting back in the car. The walking part is simple—only 100 meters. I managed it in my 4-inch heels, and my dress kept sliding up, showing the tops of my stockings (it’s a very short coat but has a hood since I don’t wear makeup). So I walked to retrieve my key card from where I’d dropped it earlier and returned to the car with no issues. But then came the funny part: I used the card to unlock the door, which worked, but when I opened it, the car alarm went off just as another car drove past. My heart stopped, and I had to quickly find the keycard again to disarm the alarm. Once disarmed, I looked up to see if the passing driver was looking at me; they slowed down considerably but luckily didn’t come over or notice that I wasn’t wearing any men’s clothes. It would have been very embarrassing trying to talk to them in my dress and heels! I just got into the car, started it up, and drove off quickly back home. I can’t wait to do another walk; next time I’ll make sure to open the door when no one is passing by. A funny way to draw attention to myself, hey? Love ya, Simone xx
