When replying to any post within the topic, members are expected to contribute directly to it and strive to move the conversation forward. While brief replies like “Nope, haven’t heard of that” or “Wow, that sounds cool” can occasionally fit in, they often add unnecessary clutter that might annoy others.

Mutual respect is key; please avoid flames and personal attacks. Disagreement and heated exchanges are perfectly fine as part of the discussion, but posts featuring name-calling, derogatory remarks, or other direct personal jabs will not be tolerated and could lead to disciplinary measures. We’re here to have fun and enjoy ourselves, so if you can’t say it nicely…

Respect fellow members’ privacy preferences, contact limits, and chosen topics for discussion. Those who harass, annoy, or disregard others’ wishes should expect a ban. Note that this applies to Instant Messaging, email, or other off-forum communications if the information shared here helped facilitate those interactions. If your behavior makes someone else uncomfortable and a moderator asks you to stop, take it seriously—it needs addressing.

Treat your posts as if you’re at a party with both acquaintances and strangers in the same room. Although our topics might seem unusual for a casual gathering, remember that this is fundamentally a social forum. We didn’t come here to be judged, demeaned, or mocked (with - yes, at - no).

Feel free to resolve issues between yourselves however you see fit, but keep in mind these guidelines extend to private messages and other communications tied to the forum. If you can’t or prefer not to settle a matter directly with another member, reach out to one of the moderators and explain the issue calmly and rationally. Please also understand that moderator responses may take time, and they might not resolve things exactly as you’d recommend.

The moderators’ decision is final. Usually, we discuss issues and reach consensus. However, some situations demand immediate action. Regardless of context, once a ruling is made, it won’t be overturned without moderator agreement. Public topic flames are unacceptable, but you may petition the moderation team privately (PM) professionally.

Under no circumstances should members post copyrighted materials without permission at any time. This covers images, text, videos, audio, and more—though not limited to them. Members must also avoid encouraging such illegal activity in public areas. Posts requesting the exchange or forwarding of copyright-protected material count toward this rule. The forum’s resources shouldn’t be used to acquire copyrighted content unless expressly authorized by the holder.

If you break these or any other posted rules, we’ll contact you directly. Depending on the issue, disciplinary action may follow. We’d rather not do so, but our goal is keeping this a pleasant place for everyone.
