Sub-shop Closing Down

I’ve bought quite a few things over the years and I’m truly going to miss this place. For me, sub-shop was also a safe harbor when I first started feeling down about my “unseemly” love for bondage. Most of the books I read on the topic only made me doubt myself more, so I tried to hide my interest and act like I was “normal”. The turning point came one day with a happy accident; I stumbled upon Autumn’s site by chance. I recall that pink was the dominant color there, showing Autumn happily tied up in various bondage contraptions, from straight jackets to heavy metal restraints. The atmosphere felt playful and cheerful, which was a refreshing change from the stern, often harsh sites I had visited previously. Back then, it wasn’t as commercialized yet, and Autumn shared plenty of information about bondage in general, but more importantly for me, she wrote about her own feelings at the start and how she worked through her uncertainties. This made my transition much easier because I realized that my “unwholesome” interest wouldn’t just fade away and that my “affliction” was quite common. Most crucially, it helped me see that this wasn’t necessarily a negative thing. The site catered to subs and despite being nervous, I couldn’t resist buying a ballgag along with a few other items. I worried constantly about whether the package would pass customs safely and dreaded dying of embarrassment if an agent opened it up. Autumn assured me that most agents have likely seen just about everything by now and probably wouldn’t even blink at my order. As expected, my parcel arrived a couple of weeks later and I was thrilled with my first set of bondage gear:)
