Hi everyone I don’t mind quoting others at all; it feels natural and often clarifies the context for your replies. Still, I do get annoyed when massive blocks of text are quoted that have nothing to do with what you’re saying. Could you please edit out the unnecessary bits before posting? If you’re replying to a few specific sentences within a larger quote, try trimming down the irrelevant parts and keeping only the essential quotes—but use more of them instead of just one big block.

For example:

Joe Blow wrote: yada yada yada I totally agree.

Joe Blow wrote: doughnuts, coffee, sitting in laybys with speedcameras Yep, that seems to be all cops do these days…

Joe Blow wrote:Once I accidentally hung myself by the ankles because I misjudged the counter weight I threw over a tree branch hahahaa what an idiot.

Does this make more sense? It just makes it easier for others to follow along. I’m not criticizing everyone—most of you are doing great—but there are a few who haven’t quite mastered it yet. Cheers
