Extended wearing of a posture collar

Hello I just purchased myself a posture collar and I’m enjoying it. I am considering wearing it as much as possible, but I worry that keeping it on for too long could damage my neck or weaken the muscles. What do you think? Is this risk real? How long is considered too long? 24 hours seems like the goal, though practical needs and a bit of discretion might make that difficult. So I’ll likely aim for around 8 hours during the day plus sleep at night.
