I got up early this morning and wondered to myself, “Why should I be judged for my clothing?” So I slipped on a pair of ankle socks adorned with little bows. Next came the hobble skirt, followed by these white ladies’ slipper-style shoes that have been sitting around for ages—they’re definitely due for replacement now. Others spotted them but didn’t comment, which gave me enough courage to take out the trash bins. It was starting to get light outside, and there are usually folks around at this hour, making it fun (if a bit tricky) trying to conceal myself, especially since my car is away getting fixed. The bows were sticking out clearly from under the dress hem. Fortunately, I didn’t run into anyone that morning…
