Oops!

I gave self-bondage a go today. My roommates had headed out and wouldn’t be back until late in the evening, so I thought it was too good an opportunity to miss. A bit of context: A couple of months ago, I swapped out all my padlocks and keys. I used to have about two dozen locks that were keyed alike, but over time only a few remained, so I replaced them entirely with a fresh set of new locks and keys. I employed the ice release method for releasing the key. After enjoying myself thoroughly, the key slipped into the ice block and I was supposed to be free. Wrong! The key wouldn’t turn in the padlock on the back of my neck. After more than an hour of experimenting with every trick I could think of, I grabbed an emergency box cutter and sliced through the leather strap. Once I cleaned up and showered, I returned to the basement to tidy up my toys and see what gear was salvageable. The key actually fit fine. It turns out that while working behind my neck, I wasn’t holding the lock correctly all along. The collar and harness are completely wrecked. I feel quite disappointed.
