Selecting Thigh-High Stockings

Folks, I want to hear about your experience with thigh-high stockings. Specifically the kind that have a silicone band at the top so they stay up by themselves, not the ones requiring a garter belt. My preference for pantyhose and tights is usually toward thicker fabric but with a glossy look. I’m considering buying black Givenchy 20 denier pairs. Wolford is too pricey for me right now. Since I often wear them with french maid attire, a back seam would be nice, though not essential. Any suggestions? Thanks! - Tom
