He wants me to be the one in charge...what's my next move?

I recently joined this platform after my boyfriend encouraged me to look around for inspiration on activities we could explore together. We’ve been dating for a few months, and he’s gently guided me into the world of bondage at a pace that suits me, since I’d never really thought about incorporating it into a relationship before. All those stereotypes made me picture something harsh or eccentric, but he has proved otherwise; there is definitely an intimate quality to being tied up with someone you care for.

Here is where things stand…I’ve always preferred the role of the one who gets tied up. I enjoy having him take charge and do things to me. However, he’d like me to start taking some control over him as well, which makes perfect sense. We have a huge variety of gear available. There are metal handcuffs for wrists and ankles, various types of rope (both thin and thick), thumb cuffs, blindfolds, gags, nipple clamps, plus other items you can imagine. He’s collected quite an assortment over time, most recently adding some alluring lingerie sets to the mix.

The situation is that we have plenty of equipment for me to use, but I sometimes struggle with what actually to do because my experience level isn’t high yet. Also, I’m somewhat low-key; I enjoy bondage without needing it to be overly intense, rough, or painful, and cross-dressing isn’t really my thing.

So there you have it…I was hoping the community could offer some suggestions for a new Domme who needs a bit of direction?
