Generating clearer hyperlinks within your forum posts

Typically, you can simply paste a URL into your post and the forum software will recognize it as a link and format it automatically. For instance: ; the worlds best search engine. But sometimes you might prefer to have users click this link or even better, invite them to try out the worlds best search engine at no cost? Curious about how it works?
