PictureLoKiT v1.0 Guide: Setting Up a Remote Connection

Here is a quick “Howto” guide for creating a remote setup. For instance, your Mistress:love: can configure a session from a separate machine. One approach involves using a shared “Dropbox.” If you and your mistress both have access to the same “Dropbox” account, you share a folder on your desktop. This means she can place her picture in the Vault and set up Taunting words to remind you of her commands:gag: For those who need clarification: “Dropbox” is just one of many programs that create synchronized cloud storage linked to a local desktop folder. Like any reliable folder, you can drag and drop files into it, or save them directly so they sync automatically. With a shared Dropbox folder, anything your mistress copies in becomes visible to you. Once both parties have established their shared Dropbox connection, you simply need to instruct PictureLoKiT that the Dropbox folder serves as your user storage. There is a command called user that does this for PictureLoKiT. You can set up a shortcut or modify the existing desktop icon by adding the path. For example; my shared dropbox location is “c:\Documents and settings\LoKiT\Desktop\Dropbox\Mistress” In this case, I simply edited the properties of the PictureLoKiT shortcut target. At the end of the line containing PictureLoKiT.exe, I added: user=“c:\Documents and settings\LoKiT\Desktop\Dropbox\Mistress” Enjoy! My Mistress will do the same with her version of PictureLoKiT, so any adjustments she makes to the setup will appear in my shared folder. Keep in mind this only affects changes made during operation. PictureLoKiT reads the files when it starts up and once a session finishes. You would need to restart the program if you want those changes to take effect.
