My dilemma regarding crossdressing

Over here in the US, I notice women rocking pants—particularly jeans—more than dresses or skirts, regardless of the season. From what I can gather… trousers and denim were originally created for men. If that’s true… then any woman wearing them is technically crossdressing to some degree (in my view). Conversely… if a man dons a dress, unless it’s clearly marked as male attire (like a toga or robe), people tend to see it as crossdressing. Those types of garments have existed for ages… haven’t they? Anyway… just sharing my perspective on the matter… and I’d definitely wear long skirts constantly if society were more okay with it. My collection in that style is pretty small because I’ve never really shopped for those clothes due to the existing taboos.
