I’ve personally tested this method and really enjoy it because there’s no timer involved; you just need to focus. In theory, the binding could last for hours or just a few minutes.
First off, find a very dark room—ideally pitch black when the lights are out and blinds drawn. Set up five or six combination locks with codes you already know. Use your computer to create a PowerPoint slide for each padlock showing its code in large letters. You don’t need to worry about the technical details; just ensure that every ten minutes or so, the correct number flashes on screen for roughly one second. The concept is simple: once you’ve prepared five different files for five distinct locks, simply select the file corresponding to the lock currently holding you. This prevents you from memorizing the code.
Bind yourself however you prefer (I love a good hog-tie), ensuring that this combination lock serves as the crucial element of your restraint.
Next, set up a lamp with a timer so it stays on for about two minutes every thirty minutes. When it activates, use those moments to inspect and input the code into your padlock—if you’ve been paying attention! If the light goes out before you manage it, too bad; you’ll be stuck until the next half-hour cycle.
There are many variations possible, such as altering the bondage style or changing how codes are delivered (for example, playing back a recording of voices saying numbers in random order). What really gets my heart racing is those two minutes with the light on while I frantically enter the code to free myself. It’s equally mentally and physically demanding due to that quick flash delivery method.
It might be wise to have a backup release ready for several hours just in case your computer crashes or you mess up the files!
I’m a big fan of this approach—give it a try!
