A Surprise

It was the day before I turned eighteen. My parents had gone out for a night on the town, so I asked my girlfriend to come over for some romantic alone time. While we were relaxing in bed after our encounter, the phone downstairs started ringing. I offered her a nude piggyback ride down there. We didn’t have much time to get dressed since we wanted to answer immediately. When we reached the bottom step, the lights flipped on and everyone shouted “SURPRISE!” It was my whole family—uncles, aunts, grandparents, cousins, plus all my friends—all standing there. My girlfriend and I just froze in embarrassment for what felt like forever. Since that day, no one has dared to plan another surprise party.
