It looks like it's happening once more

The first person I confided in about my crossdressing, who accepted it without hesitation, has been away for some time. She joined the US Marines while I continued striding around in short skirts and high heels. Talk about a role reversal! With her gone for roughly eight months now, we manage to chat every four to six weeks. At other times, our exchanges are just “Hey, hope you’re doing well…[blah blah].” Last time we spoke, I learned she’s returning home for Christmas and New Year’s. I’m absolutely thrilled! Anyway, back to the crossdressing aspect. Today, completely unexpectedly (and outside of our usual routine), she texted me… When I first shared my dressing news with her, I subtly suggested that we should take a walk (or walks) together because she was so understanding and I felt more comfortable doing it with her than anyone else. I didn’t really believe she took it seriously at the time, but she did. Her random text read something along the lines of “When I’m back in town, we’re going to get dressed up and take a nice long walk, okay?” My heart gave a little skip then. Why would she think of that particular thing while she’s undergoing Marine training over the weekend? Regardless, it’s exciting. A bit nerve-wracking too; lots of nerves. (Sadly?) She isn’t the villainous type from what I know. So I don’t believe her message implies anything devious, though I could certainly twist it that way if I wanted to. Hopefully, it’s just a pleasant stroll with a generous dose of near-humiliation. With all that in mind, I think my brief break from dressing will end in a couple of weeks when she returns. I’m not entirely sure the spark is back, but I can’t pass up this opportunity; whether there’s a spark or not! A nice cold winter walk should be quite enjoyable!
