Further Stakeout Ideas

Greetings everyone. During my initial introduction, I proposed the concept of securing a person spread-eagle on the lawn using tent pegs, a piece from a wardrobe, and an ice-filled stocking as an escape method (see below). lawn peg.JPG The suggestion was to use Pykrete, but I initially thought it might not work because the solid matter would remain, increasing the likelihood that the stocking could get caught in the ring. After reviewing some information on Pykrete, I believe my dismissal of it may have been too hasty. I’ve found online examples of robust Pykrete structures that withstand gunfire without shattering. If you can create a sufficiently strong Pykrete mixture to secure the end of a rope or chain firmly without needing an additional stopper (such as a knot, which could also tangle with the ring), it might be possible to eliminate the stocking entirely. diagram1.JPG Once I have the house to myself in a few weeks, I plan to conduct some experiments to determine what loads this material can support and identify the best mixes.
