A man found nearly bare and bound to a tree in Shropshire has had an accidental death verdict recorded. The inquest heard that Kevin Kirkland, aged 44 with a fondness for bondage, tied himself to the trunk at Newport using his wrists. However, the slip knots became stuck. He succumbed to hypothermia and blood loss after accidentally severing his own wrists while trying to break free.
