How should I let my friend know about my interest in bondage?

Hello all! This is my inaugural thread. Perhaps it’s a touch self-centered to seek your thoughts, but I believe this is an issue that nearly everyone has pondered at some stage. Should I share with someone that I have an interest in bondage? I feel like I’ve hit that tipping point for me. I need to voice it out or I might burst, so I plan to mention it to a friend tomorrow morning. There’s no romantic attachment between us, yet he has always been very supportive and I trust him quite a bit. However… What will his reaction be? Will he misinterpret my nature once I reveal it? Or Should I outline the fundamental aspects of BDSM after making the confession, or is simply letting him know without diving into details the better approach? I’m not entirely sure. We’ve been chatting for hours today since I shifted my lifestyle habits (like caring less about finding a partner for romance), and he has some concerns regarding these changes. My takeaway is that at least he needs to be aware. But how do I bring it up? He’s open-minded enough, so acceptance seems likely, but I fear it might still come as quite a shock. Thanks P.S.
