Hello everyone.
I’m considering constructing a Gwendolin-style hood. My girlfriend isn’t particularly fond of hoods, but she’s willing to push her boundaries, and I feel a Gwen style design would be a solid starting point, especially if made from spandex or a similar fabric. I was thinking of using a women’s stretchy t-shirt as the base material, perhaps even an inexpensive spandex version.
Here are my thoughts on the pattern template. Apologies for the image quality; painting isn’t really my strong suit! Image
The design on the left consists of a single piece of material with the seam running over the top of the head and down the back, whereas the one on the right features a panel extending from the crown down the spine. This is similar to the two images below (respectively). Note: Pictures removed by Anna per copyright owner request.

To be honest, the left-hand image appears to show a two-piece construction made of two halves, so it’s not exactly like my painted sketch, but I’m sure you can visualize it.
Does anyone have any suggestions or modifications? Or perhaps some personal templates?
Thanks!
