DIY Locking bondage cuffs Hi everyone! I’m currently in a spot where buying things just isn’t an option, so I have to craft everything myself:) It adds even more satisfaction to be restrained by something you constructed yourself. Using these instructions, I’ll explain how to build locking wristcuffs from some metal components and an old belt. Of course, these cuffs can be adapted for any other limb too! I’m actually putting together a complete set right now (wrists, elbows, ankles, thighs, waist, neck). Oh yes, first things first: My photos are pretty bad; my phone camera wasn’t really designed for close-up shots of small items… well, that explains it. The Parts Here is what you need to make two wristcuffs:
- A belt (mine were quite long, giving me plenty of room!) Image
- A keyring Image
- A metal ring Image
- A metal piece whose name I’ve forgotten, let’s call it: the screw. Pay attention to its edge and the hole running through it! Image The tools Extra equipment required:
- A drill
- Scissors The plans Step #1) Grab an old belt, though I actually prefer new ones because they feel better! When picking a belt: avoid cloth belts; look for leather-like or plastic types. Also remember: The wider the belt, the more comfortable you’ll be wearing the cuffs! Another tip: your belt shouldn’t be too thick relative to the length of your screw. Okay, now go ahead and use your scissors to cut off the buckle. Step #2) Split the belt in half and cut it into two equal pieces. You should end up with something like the next photo; don’t worry about the holes, I just took apart my current version! Image Step #3) Measure where the first hole needs to go by wrapping the belt piece once around your wrist. Don’t pull it too tight! I made that mistake with the cuffs in the picture; they are comfortable but now I can’t slip them over clothing, like gloves. Instead, make them a bit wider. Mark the first hole. Image Step #4) Speaking for myself here: since I lack precision tools, I simply used a drill to bore the hole:) I chose a drill bit that matched my screw exactly so it would fit snugly in the hole. ** Step #5)** Push the screw through the metal ring and then through the first drilled hole. Image Image Step #6) Measure and mark where the second hole should be. Do this by wrapping the remaining piece around your arm again and marking where it meets the inserted metal screw (in the picture below, the hole is already there to illustrate the idea! Image ** Step #7)** Drill the second hole using the same drill as before. Step #8) Admire your work by pushing the second hole over the screw (not while it’s around your arm, just to see how it looks). It should look like this: Image ** Step #9)** You will now notice there is a hole in the screw that sticks out of the cuff. Image ** Step #10)** This is where the keyring or lock comes into play! You can thread your keyring through the hole, effectively locking you in until you have your hands free. Or if it feels better, you can use a mini padlock. I don’t own many mini padlocks, so I prefer the ring method) Threading the ring: Image Finished with ring: Image Image On wrist with ring: Image On wrist with padlock: Image Notices
- As mentioned before, you can make cuffs for every bodypart this way.
- Again: don’t make them too tight
- You can make the holes however you like; I used a drill because I have no clue how to do it any other way:D
- Last but not least: Have fun but play safe;) If you do a good job with a proper belt, you won’t need to rely on just thinking: I made it myself, so I’m able to break it while in bondage… Trust me xD Greetz, DIYguy
