Must-haves?

I have a query for the more seasoned crossdressers here. I’m not entirely new to CD, but I’ve recently found the confidence to shop on my own and start building out my wardrobe. I already own a gorgeous black dress and a few pairs of shoes, yet I feel unsure about where to kick off. I just got my first maid outfit, but browsing online and in shops makes me want to purchase everything. It’s hard to keep my enthusiasm in check without emptying the bank account on all those lovely skirts, blouses, and lingerie that look so tempting hanging up.

So here is my question: What do you consider the must-have essentials for any girl’s wardrobe? I’m looking for just the basics right now. Something to get me going, after which I can expand. I realize everyone has their own take on what counts as essential, and I actually love that variety. It gives plenty of inspiration, so I can filter out things that don’t suit my style. So please share your thoughts, whether you’re thinking extreme or just a simple set of pajamas—I want to hear it all. Today I went looking for a skirt but got overwhelmed by the options and couldn’t pick one.
