Stepping into the light

Greetings everyone! I identify as a CD male in my late thirties and discovered this site just last few weeks ago while hunting for ‘self-bondage’ after spotting the term elsewhere. I signed up after browsing several forum threads, noticing it feels much cozier than other places… plus, the DIY member-submitted scenes really caught my eye! My interest in bondage started when I was about 7 or 8 years old, after borrowing a few of my older brother’s Wonder Woman comics from the ’70s. Seeing WW tied up or wrapped tightly in plastic gave me that peculiar, happy flutter in my gut. I didn’t quite understand what it meant at the time but kept browsing through his collection until another book provided a clue: Superman actually becomes a slave after being forced into a “magic girdle” by an immensely strong (and outrageously proportioned) woman! That was the confirmation for me: I never felt the pull to be the one tying others up. Instead, my mind naturally drifted to what it might feel like to be bound and helpless, placing myself in WW’s sandals (boots). So perhaps comics can indeed foster deviant tendencies?:D After all these years of light self-bondage (and wishing I’d discovered the ice-lock method earlier—it seems so obvious now!), I’m gathering advice and ready to give it a go.
