Gas mask scent pouch?

Has anyone tried building a homemade scent pouch? They seem like straightforward projects, easy to craft from a bottle or similar container. I just need a straw, a bottle, some aromatic liquid, and a method for connecting the bottle to the tube. Here is my rough concept… A wider straw would likely be better, but theoretically it should function correctly? Image
