Yet another method for an emergency release?

So, I was mulling over more ways to keep myself from using my emergency key when I found a personal panic alarm at Wal-Mart, much like [[this guy here]]( It seems (to me) that this could be another excellent last-resort option. Attach the keys to the wrist strap, then thread a rope from them so it stays within reach. You can pull it anytime to retrieve your keys along with a screeching 130-DB noise. If the battery dies, it remains reliable… only the deterrent part won’t function.

You could even incorporate it into a scene… tie/leash/cuff yourself to the beeper side, then use an ice-lock or similar method to secure the wrist strap to something stationary. If you don’t stay put, you get the screech. If you wriggle too much, you trigger it as well. And once released, you can run far and/or wide, but since you’re wearing the alarm end, it will just follow you along. Alternatively, you could wait until the ice melts before walking over to fetch your key. Pretty straightforward, right?:twisted:
