the start of my dungeon...

just wanted to post some photos of my basement… or should I say dungeon…lol.. Image Image Image The first one shows the chair… I was planning to add a crossbar across the 8x8 beam to pull my arms out… but after reading about this magnetic lock device… i think i’ll construct a stock that mounts directly onto the 8x8… equipped with a 400lb magnetic lock.. wired to a bathroom fan timer… connected to a sealed marine battery. On the interior side of the stock, there will be a flush-mounted spsd push button switch… so when the stock closes shut.. it activates the machine.. see pictures 2 and 3… I also powered this off the same 12v marine battery… so if the mechanical bathroom timer fails… the wiper motor can draw power from the battery, and once that drains out… the magnet releases… The bathroom timer only goes up to 60 minutes though… if i find thats not enough time… i might switch to a 120v timer that relays off the battery… so if the electricity(mains as you calls it) or the battery dies.. iam released… i hope…:D And in the 3rd picture.. you can’t really see it well.. but at the very bottom of the wooden base is a screw-in hook… On the lower shaft in the photo, there will be a key ring between the washers.. connected to some twine… that loops around the hook.. to another hook on the wall in front of the 8x8/seat.. and comes back to connect to some clover clamps… so during the up stroke of the machine.. it also tugs on the nipple clamp… double the fun eh…:lol: .. luckily it only has a 4” stroke/pull to it… The nipple clamp will be attached to the twine with a large elastic band to ensure it doesn’t over pull and yank them off completely… I’m going to reassemble my sawhorse and keep that down there too… A few hooks in the rafters.. maybe a small guest bed incase i get tired… any other ideas what would be easy-ish to build that would be fun? mainly used for solo play.. and everything will be fairly straightforward to disasemble to store in the corner incase i have someone over to work on the furnace or plumbing…
