Any ideas on crafting an anal hook at home?

Has anyone ever constructed an anal hook? I spot them online priced between $80 and $120. There has to be a straightforward way to build one at home. Working with solid steel is tough, and Stainless tends to change color when heated. Hollow pipe can kink up, leaving you to manage the open end. I discovered here that tool dip is safe for toys; just ensure it isn’t too sticky as that would still mask heat marks. Does anyone know where to source metal balls that have a threaded hole drilled into them (without going all the way through)?
