Hello! I guess I’ve hung around here long enough… (I had a suspicion that once I signed up so I could finally follow new posts, it wouldn’t be much longer before I’d start jumping in…) I’m based in the southeastern US. I’ve been binding myself since I was too young to tie a proper knot. Now 37 and still enjoying it (though you know how it is—I go through phases of doing it more, then getting busy with other things for a bit, then finding my way back again). I’m also fond of packaging and small spaces… (Although nowadays the small spaces need to be slightly larger than they used to be.:?) Being tied up by someone else is pleasant too, but it’s like sex & masturbation—sometimes I want that interaction, sometimes I just want to handle it myself. (And often tying myself up isn’t about sexual release…) I think part of the appeal for me when doing it solo is the “problem-solving” element—“Okay, I want to achieve this. How? Hmm, not quite right… What if I try this?” My husband of five years has his own quirks, and we’ve just started exploring them (both his and mine) together recently. He’s the first person I’ve ever told about my self-bondage practice. (It hadn’t really occurred to me until lately to mention it to anyone—it was just this private thing I did on my own.) Anyway, us opening up to each other regarding these matters has given me a chance to try out more of a domme role—something I hadn’t done before (and something I honestly hadn’t pictured myself doing). It turned out to be quite fun, as has been simply chatting with him about it. (And it’s really nice that I can attempt “inescapable” situations while he’s around the house—you know, trying to perfect that self-elbow-cinch or similar things.) I’m a lucky girl. 8) And I’ve been truly enjoying this forum and The Bound Forum, so hello everyone!
