Seeking advice on a design upgrade for my wooden saw horse setup

Let me describe the prototype I built and now want to make it nicer. The device is a wooden saw horse that has a butt plug mounted vertically on top, with a clamp-like mechanism positioned horizontally right in front of the plug; once lowered onto the plug, this captures both cock and balls, preventing them from lifting off the plug. My initial prototype used chain link fence gate hardware, but I am looking for a much nicer way to achieve the same result. The goal was simply to prove the concept. It works well now, so it is time to fine-tune the design. I am seeking suggestions for a newer or more aesthetically pleasing clamp.

For my prototype lock mechanism, I just tightened the bolts on the clamp too securely for hand removal, leaving a wrench out of reach until an ice cube melted enough to allow swinging into position. All very low-tech. Looking forward to lots of help from this group.
