Electromagnet lock inquiries

Hi folks, I was planning to put together an electromagnet release, and was hoping to get some advice. Would this be an appropriate magnet to buy? … d=AEM10001 If so, what sort of power supply would I need, and where might be a good bet to get one (I live in the UK)? Would wiring it up be particularly complicated? (Alas, I have minimal electrical skills!) Any help gratefully received, Tom
