this is the latest addition to my collection of hoods. I have to say it’s the best one yet. The metal ribs provide a much more stable feel, and you can’t just tear or cut your lock off from the neck when paranoia sets in; it also won’t rip while cinching up the strings.

Here is the ruff product after being cut out of my mold. ImageImage

This shows the rigid material around the neckline added in step one. It runs all the way from side to side, so once the hood is locked on, you can’t simply tear the lock off and remove it. Image

Here is that same rigid material available at any hardware store; I had to drill out the holes for the next step. Image

Here’s a picture with the grommets in place but not yet secured. They are also cheap and easy to use, found at most hardware stores too.Image

And here is the hood with one side of the ribbing and rivets installed. As you may notice, I also ran metal along the entry point to keep the laces from eating away at the holes.ImageImage
