A quick heads-up I wanted to share. I recently put together a top-notch SB session that demanded considerable time, gear, and prep work. The setup was essentially a hogtie (lying face-down on the bed), featuring a latex hood, a rubber gag with a shortened breathing tube, and a leather collar connected to an elbow strap positioned behind me like a loose cinch. Additionally, there was a leather belt equipped with professional handcuffs attached to a D-ring at the rear, plus a thick leather strap around my knees and steel legcuffs pulled up tightly toward my waist by a padlocked chain behind me. Everything was secured in place by two chains hanging from a ring in the ceiling: one padlocked to the collar and another connecting the belt to the legcuffs. I had arranged my electronic release system just as I explained on the main community site (Light > Electronic release), setting the timer for 45 minutes with a digital camera capturing automatic time-lapse photos every minute. The mechanism would drop a weighted string in an arc across the bed, letting the weight settle at the side where it usually does. Once everything was ready, I got into position. It was only during my final double-check (just before clicking that last handcuff) that I realized something: while this bondage felt wonderful because my hands were secured through the belt’s D-ring with little slack and the overhead chains restricted movement so beautifully, I actually wouldn’t have been able to reach the arc of the string across the bed. This was due to the angle at which I tied it to its fixed high point. Nor could I wriggle toward the edge or extend a leg or foot there. Even trying my best, I stayed about 3 inches short of where the string would fall. (Usually, I don’t use overhead chains; instead, I attach one to a wall ring to give me enough room to reach the bed’s edge). Unfortunately, I had to abandon the scenario and rely on self-discipline to manage my excitement without clicking that final handcuff shut. I carefully pressed the double-lock button on the cuffs (and tested them) to ensure they wouldn’t close accidentally, posed for a few good shots since it seemed such a shame not to capture anything after all that preparation, knowing no one would mind if one cuff wasn’t fully locked, then went about unstrapping what I could with my free hand. Finally, I waited (rather deflated) until the keys dropped for total release. Safety first, as we always say; if I had shut that second cuff, I might still be there now!
