I did this setup some time back because I wanted to feel stretched out like on a rack, though doing it solo meant skipping the actual rack. Here is how I set it up: I used three #10 wood screws (the thick kind) about 3 inches long and one large nail (a 20d spike). I wear leather cuffs for my wrists and ankles. After buckling them on, I attached a short piece of chain (about 6” long) to each cuff. The living room floor served as the anchor point. Through the carpet, I screwed in the larger screws at a slight angle away from where I would lie down. That big nail was meant for my right wrist. Sliding the chain link over the leg screws was simple; for the arms, I taped the end link to a long fireplace matchstick so it could reach the anchor points easily. Once the chain hook caught onto the head of the screw or nail, I was locked in. I lay there and thrashed around as much as I liked. To release myself, just pull hard on the nail; it will bend while the screws stay put (at least not as easily). The slight bending of the nail lets the chain link slip off so you can free yourself. WORD OF CAUTION: Test the nail first to make sure your strength is enough to bend it before committing fully. You might start with a thinner nail if unsure. Also, consider skipping this on hardwood floors since they would surely show marks from the hardware; carpet hides any visible damage nicely. Note: In the U.S., most homes have plywood sub-floors under their carpets. Have fun.
