Virus alert!

A member here sent me a warning that their antivirus software detected an infection on one of the or .net sites (possibly this forum as well). The specific threat was identified as Trojan-Downloader.HTML.IFrame.iu.

I don’t know exactly which page caused it yet, but I’ve done some investigating and haven’t found anything suspicious. These kinds of warnings are usually false positives, but they shouldn’t be ignored. Make sure you have an updated operating system, current virus protection, and a solid firewall to stay safe while online. You might also want to try switching browsers if you use Explorer, as it appears to be the browser most often targeted.

I’ll keep looking for the source of this warning, but please let me know if anyone else spots something unusual.
