D/s and Release Methods Over the Internet

Are there people here engaging in online D/s games or selfbondage scenarios? Previously, I played with an online partner who has since relocated to another country… which led us chatting less frequently due to the time difference. Occasionally, we would provide each other with self bondage instructions and act as the release point for one another. The process worked like this: We utilized a CD tray as the mechanism. A string was caught between the door of the CD tray, passing through an electromagnet on the ceiling while holding the keys well out of reach. Since we both used laptops, they were positioned on the desk where the victims couldn’t easily grab them. The laptop ran a web server with PHP and a small time limit program. This web server hosted a PHP page containing code that sent a signal to open the CD tray. So if someone had this page open via the internet, the CD tray would pop up, allowing one of us to set the other free… using IM and webcam, we could keep an eye on each other and naturally get aroused watching the partner in bondage. The time-limit software served as a maximum duration setting. It was simply a program with a countdown timer that also triggered the tray open when it hit zero. This ensured we would retrieve our keys even if the internet connection failed. Of course, there was always the risk of a PC or laptop crashing, but this didn’t occur during our play sessions, and we invariably had an emergency release method close at hand. To anyone who has done/does something similar… is there interest in this style of play etc…? I’m not immediately looking for another self-bondage partner, but perhaps later on…
