Tips on Going Hairless

I’ve been pondering it, but I’m a little concerned about shaving my legs because the regrowth might be absolutely terrible? It feels like I’ll have to wear sandpaper pants for seven days. Plus, I usually break out in red bumps after shaving; could those be ingrown hairs?
